Gypsy Eviction Services in England and Wales
Our experienced team of certificated enforcement agencies are based nationwide and provide gypsy eviction services across the UK. CEA Ltd’s team is composed of highly experienced and professional enforcement agents, who safely and expertly deliver results.
If you are a private landlord, you do not need a court order for possession to evict illegal encampments. If gypsies have set up camp on your land, you can evict them and their vehicles straight away. This is all covered under Halsbury’s Laws of England and The Common Law. These trespassers will also be required to remove any other belongings, including litter and waste.
Under the Common Law, this action is also endorsed by the UK Government. If you’re looking for more information on removing travellers from your land, you can read the Home Office Guidance on the Removal of Illegal Encampments.
How Quickly can Travellers be Evicted?
Once instructed, we will dispatch a Bailiff (Certificated Enforcement Agent) to your site. Depending on timings, this will either be the same day, or first thing the following morning. In the majority of cases, we will evict travellers the same day we are instructed.
What Levels of Gypsy Eviction Service Are Available?
Here at CEA Ltd, we provide two levels of service when it comes to traveller evictions and removals. Whichever eviction option you choose, you are guaranteed the same high quality service from our agents.
Standard Gypsy Removal Service
As part of our standard service, our CEA specialists will attend the site (typically on the same day). We will make direct contact with the trespassers and serve eviction notices. We will post these around the land in full accordance with Court CPR rules. Our Bailiffs will encourage the gypsies to leave as peacefully as possible.
After they’ve been given appropriate time to leave, usually until the following morning, our bailiffs will assess the situation on-site and report back about the requirements for an eviction. We will then commence with the eviction.
Enhanced Gypsy Eviction Services
Our enhanced service provides you with multiple bailiffs on-site to evict the gypsies the same day (dependent on timings, weather, police assistance). We also arrange for a tow-truck to be on standby where required. Our specialist agents will serve an eviction notice and give the encampment up to two hours to leave your property. Should they refuse, or deliberately take too long, we will request the attendance of the Police, to prevent a breach of the peace.
Once the Police attend we will begin to evict the travellers using all available resources. This includes use of the tow-truck to forcibly remove caravans, trailers and other camping equipment.
Comprehensive Gypsy Removal Services
Gypsies will often padlock themselves into a building or compound. It is common for them to attempt to use the Criminal Law Act, 1977, to prevent their eviction.
Here at CEA Limited, our experienced team have developed a method of obtaining legal access to these sites.
From there, we will be able to secure the safe and legal eviction of gypsies, squatters and other trespassers.
Where required, we will use relatively forceful techniques to remove unwanted gypsies and trespassers. This can include the use of tow trucks to remove caravans, trailers and mobile homes from your property.
All Weather Gypsy Evictions
All our gypsy eviction requests are dealt with immediately, weather and daylight permitting. Once we arrive on-site, our team will dedicate all our experience, knowledge and resources to removing your property’s trespassers as quickly as possible. They are equipped with 4×4 vehicles to enable access in all weathers. Throughout the removals project, we will deliver a completely safe and legal service. Evictions may be delayed if weather conditions prevent a safe eviction from taking place: for instance, wet grass fields where a tow truck can’t gain access.
